JD Regional Manager for CEE Central & North Region / JD Regional Manager for CEE South Region 

 

Due to organizational changes in JD CEE structures, we are looking for candidates to fill in the following positions:

  1. JD Regional Manager for CEE Central & North Region, covering the following markets: Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia.
  2. JD Regional Manager for CEE South Region, covering the following markets: Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia – this position is planned to start in Q4 2025 (the exact date will be determined individually with the candidate at a later stage of the process).

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The JD Regional Manager is responsible for JD Sports stores in the subordinate region; manages the retail structure and sales teams to implement the company’s sales, HR, VM and marketing strategy.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • implementation of sales targets within the subordinate region,
  • implementation of the financial objectives of the subordinate region: STORES’ EBITDA,
  • management of sales teams (team of Area Managers),
  • organization of the work of the subordinate retail structure,
  • active participation in development programs and training dedicated to the team in the subordinate region,
  • implementation of commercial policy by:
    • ensuring the level of customer service in accordance with standards,
    • optimal use of available resources (optimization of PT and OPEX parameters in the subordinate region),
    • ensuring a consistent image of stores and the quality of implementation of VM guidelines,
    • close day-to-day cooperation with all departments of the JD stream (VM, Marketing, EC, Product),
  • co-creation and active management of the region’s sales and cost budget to achieve the designated financial effect,
  • ongoing monitoring of the market, anticipation of trends, flexible response to changes in the business environment,
  • initiating activities leading to increased sales efficiency

 

OUR EXPECTATIONS:

  • proficient knowledge of the operation of the retail industry, in the sports & lifestyle segment, confirmed by min 10 years of experience in this area,
  • min 5 years of experience in executive management, within an international, distributed team,
  • practical knowledge of cultural conditions specific to countries in the subordinate region,
  • knowledge of the specifics of the retail markets included in the subordinate region – in particular, sales, consumer and competitive conditions – effective functioning in a diverse business environment (ongoing cooperation with representatives of the UK Headquarter),
  • strong goal orientation and determination to achieve goals,
  • willingness to travel up to 5 days a week,
  • active driving license of category B,
  • fluency in English.

WHAT OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS LOOKS LIKE?

  1. Submission of an application form verifying the formal criteria by 30.04.
  2. Initial interview with candidates meeting the criteria combined with a presentation of the role profile and expectations of the mode of work.
  3. Assessment Centre session – examining competencies in personnel management, operational knowledge and budgeting.
  4. Meeting with the Chief Operating Officer on behalf of JD Sports.
